As you may remember??
My brown hallway just wasn’t
cutting it anymore…
My green settee needed a happier backdrop.
FURTHERMORE…
The brown wall color just wasn’t me.
Decorators suggest you should decorate
your home with
the same colors you love to wear…
which is a suggestion
I have FINALLY begun to follow.
WHAT WAS I THINKING??
I DO NOT wear brown!
AND I do not even like Joe wearing brown.
For archival blogging records…
the ONLY brown I LOVE…
are the CLEVELAND BROWNS!
So…my brown painted walls were a novice decorator’s mistake.
Becoming a wiser decorator is one perk that comes with age.
(Oh…and grandchildren! My 4th comes in a few weeks)
After testing many paint samples in April…
nothing could compare to my dream wallpaper.
Finally…
my banker approved my plans and promises.
“I’ll never touch these walls again!”
Nina Campbell’s Parakeet wallpaper was HUNG!!
Happy to say…
I made a decorating decision I LOVE!
It makes the room feel completely different
and makes us smile..A LOT!
I think our settee is even smiling too.
We even removed the dated track lighting
and added a ceiling medallion and green chandelier.
Also…switched out the mirrors with bigger ones.
At this point…
I haven’t decided if I will add shades or not??
I plan to test drive some different options.
The wallpaper hanger even
papered our cold air return duct
that creates the appearance that it was hand painted.
It is no longer an annoying eyesore.
OUR hallway project is done forever
now it’s on to the next project :)

I can't wait to sit on your lovely green sofa and drink our morning coffee, while you talk to your birds!
And Landry can play on the floor with his Aunt! Best decision you made, that wall paper. Who knew it would be our wedding inspiration too! I love it!
LOVE! You've got such amazing taste in things!!
