Why Blogging Is OK

My dear Colorado niece informed me that she misses my blogs.

She used to start her days with a cup of coffee and my blog.

Since I am no longer on a blogger’s hiatus

I decided to make her morning…

with a new post.

Therefore,

here is a pictorial post of

a few of my

New Years Resolutions

I’d love to accomplish…some year…

or some lifetime…

I’d love to have a Bridal Boutique as quaint as this.

I’d come to work every morning

and smile at the dresses in the window.

Actually, I’d smile at the door too

and the sign in the door and the boxwood in their containers

and the mailbox slot and…..

I’d love to wear a red dress like this…

and learn to “Love” to  play cards…maybe Bridge??

Key Word is “Love” because cards and I are like vinegar and oil….

but I do love the dress!

be the best version of you mary ruffle

I’d love to at least attempt to be…

the Best version of me.

I am slowly running out of chances.

I’d love to treat every day I live…

like the beautifully wrapped gift that it is.

God blesses me every morning with a new day

and some days are completely taken for grated.

Forgive me, Lord.

I’d love to watch the snow fall through the windows of this home…

or my own.

I am a sucker for snowy days

when they occur in the appropriate months of  December, January and February.

When it is still snowing on freshly bloomed tulips…

I am much less starry eyed.

I’d love to watch the waves meet the shore through this window…

and savor the best cup of coffee Joe can brew.

And then if this is Providence, Rhode Island….

I’d tour all the historic mansions.

Or I’d love to giggle with the ones I love at this table…

and linger until the snow flies

and I’d wear the tablecloth as a wrap.

And I’d love to wake up from my Blogger’s nap….

and make you smile

every morning or any time of day

Because just like Me…

You know that…..

waste-time

Now…have a Happy New Year

and enjoy doing what you Love

until all your Resolutions come true :)

PS/Apologies for the new blog format…

it is a crime that computers have internal sources that poison computers.

I may need to completely delete my Blog…boohoo!

Why Dream

I love these rooms

Clean simple and neutral tones

image_thumb12

I read that architectural details make a room

Check out the wall moldings and trim in this room

Love the color (or lack of) in this design…

the empty frames are awesome.

Recreate that look when open back frames are 50% off @ Hobby Lobby

and buy a can of spray paint!

I have seen similar tables at Hobby Lobby too.

Budget designing is fun!

OK…the window rocks,

and the chandelier and the bench and the side board do too

and they aren’t budget pieces…bummer :(

But love mix of fancy and casual elegance.

This bedroom is so soothing.

I love the texture of sisal but not the feel in bare feet

A Texas baby nursery…

Love the Longhorn painting!

But love these dark walled rooms too.

This is definitely a chic and comfy bedroom

A great mix of masculine and feminine touches.

What a manly room for your man

Great way to hide not so impressive trim by painting it all same color as walls.

Which room do you find dreamy?

Happy dreaming :)

Why I Love Winter Weddings

Hard to believe…

but in 18 days

Hannah and Jeremy will be tying the knot!

winter-wedding

Referring back to one of my  older posts…

this lovely picture may ring a bell?

I have always wanted a Christmas wedding.

I began planning my own December 1983 wedding…

until God decided He had other plans for Joe and me.

We were happily married in April 1983.

But is there truly anything more glorious

then freshly fallen snow

and our Savior’s birth??

I have been dreaming of a White Christmas wedding

for many years now

but not too white

if you know what I mean :)
