My American Girl Doll
Early in December,
I was able to take my littlest girl to Chicago’s American Girl doll store.
She loved American Girl dolls when she was younger but this store didn’t exist way back then :)
There is no need for words…
Hannah died and went to heaven.
She and Jeremy walked away with a red headed, green eyed and freckled American girl doll for Evelyn.

Better Late Than Never
Thanksgiving moments with Landry…
Little Landry ate pumpkin pie with Great-Grandpa
He re-alphabetized my documents.
Who needs toys, when Grammy has file cabinets?
He washed up…
While the whole family enjoyed.
He showed off his curly Q’s.
Bundled up…
and took lots of walks &
enjoyed “Ooooo wowing” the “hott” fire with Papa Joe.

Monday Blues
Blue is a color I haven't decorated with much in the past.
But with the introduction of my aqua-blue parakeet wallpaper I feel like I should sprinkle some more blue around my home??
Especially since I am in the process of changing a few small things and one BIG thing…our kitchen.
I love this look.
The patina.
Fresh yet distressed.
The white walls but calm pops of color.
Very Scandinavian especially the clock.
I ran across Jennifer Lopez’s blue kitchen.
Never saw it before…
I guess when money is no object you can have a blue kitchen.
I actually like it and that black Le Cornue jewel with brass accents is stunning!
Too much blue, maybe?
But, pretty.
A Suzanne Kasler room with touches of blue.
I adore those ottomans.
French blue checks are cute.
The pale blue fabric on these chairs look fabulous with the tan.
I love wall trim like this &
the herringbone floor isn’t too bad either…
very Parisian, isn’t it??

Reason For The Season
Lisa Luby Ryan, a very talented Dallas interior designer, has my heart singing.
Her vintage style Christmas decor {as well as her Christian testimony} has me thinking Christ-mas…
Enjoy…
Some of Lisa’s Before/After projects:
What beautiful images, huh? And her Before/After pictures are as dramatic as her life Before Christ/After Christ.
A board member of the Council for Life, Lisa is a sought-after public speaker who frequently is honored to testify about the role God plays in her life.
Having been sexually abused as a child, she had horrific obstacles to overcome in her life including three abortions.
After decorating a client’s home to accommodate 26 people for home worship, Lisa accepted her client’s invitation to join them one Sunday.
From there, Lisa accepted Christ’s invitation for her salvation.
As an outsider looking in…
only God could have created the beauty He has in Lisa’s life out of such chaos.
Her lisalubyryan.com website will put a face to her Christ-mas story and designs for you.
Her Before/After pictures are some of the best I’ve ever seen on the web.
She turns dark rooms into light just like Christ did in her precious life.
ONCE AGAIN proving why God is the World’s BEST Interior Designer :)

Yum!
Oo la la
This Laduree inspired event is just delicious!
Pink and taupe.
Need I say more :)
Bet you they used pink up lighting.
Yes, Virginia there are cities where you can hire lighting specialists…
like in Pasadena California.
Hate the feather but love the cake.
Note to ALL future Mother’s of the Brides and Mommies to Be:
START crafting these paper posies…ASAP
Covering a wall with these beauties would transform ANY venue including a baby’s nursery.
Aren’t they amazing?
Not sure if this was a wedding
or just one of my reoccurring dreams??
AND…if those are macaroons on a stick…I’m going to start a business venture when I wake up.
