PART 1: The Bridesmaid’s Dresses
Actually finding the “perfect” bridesmaid's dress was hard.
Ashley posing in one of many LBD we ordered that didn’t work.
You would think a Little Black Dress was a simple option…but it was not.
Until…
Ashley tried on the winning design by Ralph Lauren.
It was adorable!
And so was our patient model…
(love her glasses too)
Thanks, Ash!
Here we are sampling potential ideas for accessories:
A white athletic sock on one arm…
a dress black sock on the other (ha)
helped us decide whether white or black gloves would look better
and a white pearl bib necklace

We concluded…
the dress gave us the simple yet chic Audrey Hepburn style we love.
Here is our model working it because she loved the dress so much.
This is actually a dress that Ashley and Brittany will wear again.
In the end…we skipped the necklace.
We opted for over sized vintage diamond earrings
and a small diamond bangle bracelet over the black glove
and sheer black hose.
Classic Audrey Ashley sipping the Signature Cocktail: A Married Christmas.
Abby, Matron of Honor, wore a different classic black dress
that looked oh so fabulous on her.
She wore the same accessories.
Three of my dear friends owned similar vintage black jackets which they let us borrow for the day.
They were another perfect accessory.
Brittany was stunning too. So so pretty!
In these picture you can see the earrings were oversized.
Joe and I bought Evelyn her own fur coat to wear.
She was precious…
(Some of you may still be treasuring, as I am, how Evelyn was holding, rubbing and kissing Hannah’s hand at the altar.
I know that I will never forget that!
In fact, The Plan was: if Evelyn became restless and wanted to sit with us in the front row she could.
But it was obvious that Evelyn wasn’t going to let go of her “half Mommy’s” hand…and I don’t blame her!
Seven year old Evve stood up there showing everyone how much she loves Hannah. It was absolutely the sweetest thing, wasn’t it?
In fact, if Jeremy was seven…I bet he would’ve been on the other side of Hannah doing the exact same thing!
Doesn’t that memory still make you teary?)
Another generous friend let me borrow her fur coat
which was gorgeous and warm.
As I first entered the church, I ran right into Joe’s patients who serve as the custodians.
The coat was so glamorous, I wished I had a Big Sign that told them:
THIS PHENOMINAL FUR
IS NOT MINE!
YOUR DENTAL BILLS
DID NOT PAY FOR THIS!
It was just another perfect part of a perfect day :)
