WHY Life Is Good

I am posting this quickly but lovingly!

I have gotten “A LIFE” recently…

which has prevented me from blogging.

My new LIFE has included….

Nursing my darling daughter

BACK to HEALTH

after 30 hours of the MOST excruciating Labor

I have ever experienced!

Followed by a c-section

I found myself begging for a tubal ligation

so I wouldn’t have to go through that AGAIN!

NOTE: You will find your own daughter’s labor much more painful then your own!!

BUT as always…the labor was well worth it!

John Landry is a GIFT!

AND Joe’s SURPRISE visit

meant more to me than he will ever know.

Seeing him smile like that when he 1st held Landry

was priceless!

AND witnessing my own son

hold and love his nephew like he did

was a joy so overwhelming…

it flooded my soul.

Kinnon and Parker’s visit was the sweetest thing!

HOWEVER, a failed attempt to SKYPE with Hannah

at the hospital broke my heart!

AND HERS :(  So sorry, Hannah!

BUT she will see Landry at Thanksgiving…

AND THE WAIT WILL BE LIFTED!!

While I was in TEXAS

I saw Landry…

as a TCU fan….

and a BUCKEYE fan….

I also witnessed Landry…

carved PERFECTLY into a pumpkin

by KINNON and Uncle PARKER

And I was there when

he donned his 1st Halloween costume

Loved his monkey tail.

Isn’t he the cutest monkey EVER?

 

This is just a snippet …

of ALL the BLESSINGS to come.

May God richly bless Landry’s precious LIFE

and give his mommy and daddy

some much needed zzzzzzz’s ASAP!!

So they can thoroughly ENJOY….

their sweetest BABY BOY :)

Why One More For The Road

I don’t want to leave my faithful followers hanging

while I am in TEXAS…

(kissing, hugging & loving my Grandson and

cleaning, cooking & laundering for the new Parents)

just waiting for my landscape reveal. ha

I want you to be able to sleep tight at night!

Therefore, here’s one for road…

YESTERDAY they finished mulching

AFTER:

NOW…

let’s hope I never forget when this landscaping was done.

After all, I will have TWO monumental reminders:

Why Texas Is Waiting

MY time has come to go to Texas

to become a Grandmother!

Please keep Abby, Chris & Landry

in your daily prayers.

I can hardly believe my pumpkin,

who has been hand carved by God,

is ready to light up our World.

I am so grateful God NEVER sets His tools down!

He is constantly fine tuning His masterpieces.

His work is never done with us.

Daily He continues to carve us

into His image.

than to know that my

children & grandchildren

walk in HIS truth.” :)

Why We Are Landscaping

We have lived in our home for 17 years now…

time has gone quickly,

too quickly.

8 years ago

we completed our patio project.

We love our patio area so much we have purposely ignored the rest of our yard.

A sneak peek of some never Before seen photos

of what lurks beyond our oasis…

It is our “17 years in the making

landscaping headache project”

Finally…17 years later…

we are tackling what lies beyond the patio…

Our deep backyard backs up to some neighbors

And a few eyesores

 

More than THREE MEN and ONE BIG truck  later…

We will have taken personal responsibility for our part of the eyesore!

Why Tabletop Thursday

 

I have decided to feature tabletops on my Thursday blogs.

I have been paying close attention to them while planning a wedding.

This tabletop is very Lilly Pulitzer.

It caught my eye because it looks like the quilt Aunt Robin made Hannah for her dorm room.

I found the Lilly Pulitzer style fabric at Jo Ann fabrics.

It was quite the find!

 

The preppy signature print feels a bit more country which makes it perfect for a Kentucky affair.

I love the pom-pom napkin ring

The perfect re-use for a beautiful quilt

would make the sweetest tabletop

to share with girlfriends :)
