The Lord has been so gracious to me this week.
I pray you can say the same!
Well…with a December wedding approaching
How pretty are these tabletops?
An over the top tent wedding…
spectacular but not good on the wallet :)

We have lived in our home for 17 years now…
time has gone quickly,
too quickly.
8 years ago
we completed our patio project.
We love our patio area so much we have purposely ignored the rest of our yard.
A sneak peek of some never Before seen photos
of what lurks beyond our oasis…
It is our “17 years in the making
landscaping headache project”
Finally…17 years later…
we are tackling what lies beyond the patio…
Our deep backyard backs up to some neighbors
And a few eyesores
More than THREE MEN and ONE BIG truck later…
We will have taken personal responsibility for our part of the eyesore!
The After photos Coming Soon :)
I have decided to feature tabletops on my Thursday blogs.
I have been paying close attention to them while planning a wedding.
This tabletop is very Lilly Pulitzer.
It caught my eye because it looks like the quilt Aunt Robin made Hannah for her dorm room.
I found the Lilly Pulitzer style fabric at Jo Ann fabrics.
It was quite the find!
The preppy signature print feels a bit more country which makes it perfect for a Kentucky affair.
I love the pom-pom napkin ring
The perfect re-use for a beautiful quilt
would make the sweetest tabletop
to share with girlfriends :)
This marks my 100th post…
which means either there are too many sweet things to share or I need to “get a life!”
While I decide which it is??
Here is ONE more sweet thing…
Audrey Hepburn once said…
“For beautiful eyes, look for the good in others;
for beautiful lips, speak only words of kindness;
and for poise, walk with the knowledge that you are never alone.”
NOW…those are “beauty tips” to follow :)
IF you want to follow a very entertaining blog…
Mrs Lilien is truly worthwhile.
I admire her designs, content & creativity.
In August, she blogged about my favorite Napa winery…
Swanson winery in Rutherford.
Yes, the TV frozen dinner company owns this boutique winery.
This is Swanson’s private tasting room.
A TV dinner would even taste gourmet at that table…trust me!
It is an unforgettable experience! A must-do winery while in Napa Valley. {Reservations are mandatory and limited! Book far in advance!}
The ambiance is magical. Those huge paintings on the walls are painted by Ira Yeager. I fell in love with them… until I found out how much they cost. Tens of thousands!! Not exaggerating! I still love them…I just can’t afford them!! I’ll cry in my glass of wine.
Their packaging is very Victoria’s Secret-ish.
This Alexis wine is one of their signature wines {named after their daughter}
Yes…some kids have a really rough life!! {Although Alexis is all grown up now and even blogs for Swanson Vineyards. I imagine she blogs over a glass of her signature wine and her delicious bon bons! While I blog over a glass of Brita filtered water or Sleepytime tea}
Swanson’s winery has new labeled wines that are very cute. And I imagine very good. Priced at $25 a bottle, they cost far less than Ira’s art.
Perfect for making up…
“OK! Apology accepted!”
Perfect for Christmas gifts…
for just the right person!
Perfect for weddings…
we will be trying this one out!
Mrs Lilien loves this winery so much that she wrote a poem about it…
{and I couldn’t have said it better}
I raise my glass to Mrs Lilien and Swanson Vineyards…
Salut!

“If you're in the market for something tasty and totally tiptop - run don't walk, to the Swanson Sip Shoppe - Chop-Chop!! This is a very special place indeed - exploding with delights that I quite fancied - and according to this Mrs. it's a Napa 'must-see!' While I did receive the extra special private tour - it certainly is Napa's winery du jour - while staying punchy and slightly haute couture! There's nothing not to love about this grown up candy store - from the decadent treats to the generous pour - why it just drips with Mrs. galore! After you've knocked back a few - make sure to load up on a box of bon bons or two - and on your way out blow a kiss to Alexis and tell her Mrs. Lilien sent you!”
Oh…and Lisa’s Lovin’ It too :)
We shared a birthday with a friend…
Very special friend!
His wife set the perfect mood and table for the Autumn night…
Very perfect!
Thought you’d love a close up of the umbrella…
Very cute!
The tables were gorgeous…
Very Tuscany!
Centerpieces of sunflowers and red tulip bulbs and candles. The bulbs were used as a creative tablerunner…
Very Martha-ish! Very clever-ish Jane-ish!
Table settings were set on the coolest coffee table. Notice the ice bucket in the center of that table. Filled with drinks…
Very cool!
The Italian buffet was delicious…
Very delicious!
Southern Firefly Vodka sweet tea and lemonade cocktail…
Very good drink! Very pretty pedestal glass decanter!
As if the friendship, food and fun wasn’t enough…
all the women received pashmina wraps on the back of their chairs.
Very sweet! Very useful on the beautiful Fall night!
The men received red tulip bulbs to plant in their gardens….
Very cute idea! Very exciting!
Tulips are one of my favorite flowers. I can hardly wait to plant them!
This wonderful celebration proved getting older can be VERY fun…
Happy Birthday! Mike :)
