Whoa! I’m sorry…

but wedding and baby posts may

start to get old on this blog.

BUT Lisa’s Lovin’ It.

A wedding in this chapel.

(Even if it looks like a place where

you’d hear someone outside screaming

“Dorothy” because a twister was coming :)

A wedding photographer

who can capture true love

through the lens of a camera.

Tell me….you wouldn’t get married

in the Winter for a picture like that!

At Donnell Pond…(hint)

A bride wearing this dress.

Love the 50’s era,

her coiffed hair,

and stilettos.

(maybe they aren’t actually stilettos

but anything higher than a kitten heel

is a stiletto in my book!)

A seat at this banquet table.

With this lovely place setting.

(I’d ask for a doggie bag…

I wouldn’t want food to ruin

this presentation!)

I’d just sip champagne and admire it.

AND I’m certain/it would  become lovelier with each glass.

Realizing that I would be quite content doing that

makes me ask : “What is wrong with ME?”

Under that delightful table…

I’d be wearing

my favorite color shoes…

neutral.

And above that delightful table…

I’d be looking just like Dr. Izzy.

Or just being a Doctor…

or a gorgeous actress….

or just her age again….

Now that would make for  an

O’ Happy Day!

IF I could sill be a grandma.

weddings and babies :)

Why I Am True Blue

 

A little boy

will be coming to my house.

I will hold him close,

tuck him in (and even sleep

with him….IF he asks me to)

I will unconditionally love him,

teach him,

and pray for him

without ceasing.

I will kiss his boo-boos,

wipe his tears,

read him stories using my best voices

And tell him about Jesus.

I will call him silly nonsense names,

cheer for him at his games

or listen to him play the piano.

I will cry when he cries.

I will smile when he smiles.

I will dream when he dreams.

And I will never miss a day,

lifting this little boy of mine

up in prayer.

I trust the Lord with his life and know

the Lord will hold him forever

in the palm of His hand.

Until we meet face to face,

my precious little cowboy…

Why I ‘A Door’ You

 

Do you like a RED front door?

RED means “WELCOME”

A YELLOW door symbolizes

compassion and confidence.

A makeover of a front door.

BEFORE… brown stained wood.

AFTER…

GREEN painted wood.

I think it changes the whole look.

And I’m not much of a GREEN person.

Then there are BLUE doors.

Bright BLUE. 

Light BLUE with white trim

and yellow house.

Cute combo!

AND saving the BEST for last….

A ROBIN’S EGG BLUE door.

Umm…Hullo!! Any one home?

Love, love, love it…

And the knocker, bell and mail slot

simply make this DOOR

even more “a-door-able” :)

Why I Can’t Decide

There are times when I tire of my neutral palette.

Fear and financial freedom prevents me from adding a little…

OKAY…A LOT of razzle dazzle in my home.

 

Now… I LOVE this bold foyer

with the black and white accents.

 

I appreciate almost all design styles.

In fact, that is a problem for me.

I love them all.

 

I love subtle, serene spaces.

but I also love bold spaces

that make a personal statement.

I am as bold as…

a red door.

As calm as…

our neutral Paris hotel room.

 

Decisions, decisions.

Style and color are such personal decisions.

I have come to realize that while friends can offer their advice…

the FINAL decision is always mine.

AND I can never decide :)
